AREA PROCESSOR WINS NATIONAL HONOR

Tripp Country Hams, Inc. of Brownsville, Tennessee, won national recognition at the American Cured Meat Championships held in Buffalo, New York, in July 2005 in conjunction with the 66th Convention of the American Association of Meat Processors.

 Tripp Country Hams, Inc. was awarded Grand Champion in the Country Ham - Smoked class and Reserve Grand Champion in the Country Ham - Unsmoked class. All entries were judged on the basis of aroma, flavor, eye appeal, color and texture.

 The American Cured Meat Championships, held each year as part of the American Convention of Meat Processors, annually draws hundreds of entries from the entire United States. This year there were 506 entries in 28 product categories. Judges for this year's panel were ~ Technical Advisors Joseph C.
